Our first ever Alumni Club/Christmas Party was held at the Harvest Clubhouse on December 22nd! Old YL friends, current students, leaders and more were in attendance for crazy fun that included...you guessed it...live roosters.
K, well, maybe you didn't guess it, but does it surprise you?? Ha! Here's some pics...(click to enlarge).

Mr. Christmas Tree Pageant
The 2nd Annual Mr. Christmas Tree Pageant was December 8th at the Allen Library Auditorium. "Mr. and Mrs. Claus" (aka. Randi and Matt Wideman) and their arsenal of silly Christmas jokes entertained us all evening as they introduced the contestants for each of the pageant categories. Ben Holtz, Stacy Gallimore and Login McAllister made us laugh and had us on our feet singing beloved Christmas carols. The contestants, Tim Levesque (9th), Evan Waring (10th), Ford Tikson (11th) and Alan Bjerke (12th) gave us a hilarious take on the all the hype that goes with a traditional beauty pageant, beginning with Ford's interview question being word for word of the famed "such as" speech of Miss South Carolina, followed by Evan's lyrical dance in tights using pom-batons, Alan's hilarious hip-hop routine, and Tim's cat-walk-esqe presentation in a mini skirt, bikini top, wig and shades for the swimsuit portion. All contestants lugged huge lit and decorated Christmas trees attached to themselves across the stage for the final vote. In the end, Ford Tikson won the 'Mr. Christmas Tree' sash and $100 off his camp fee, which he donated to be used for another student who needed it more. How awesome is that!
The night wrapped with Chris Trevathan giving a talk to sum up the last semester's clubs, what he's talked about over that past few months and he introduced cardboard testimonies presented by some of our own YL students and leaders. Watch below:

Whirly Ball
Because of Thanksgiving, we didn't have a 'normal' club, instead we PACKED the house at Whirly Ball in Plano!! It was crazy fun while school was out! Pics to come soon...
November Clubs!!
Who knew you could have so much fun with raw biscuit dough? Who knew you could laugh until your cheeks hurt watching people's faces get rubberbanded and clothespinned? Who knew a pie eating contest would be won by a girl? All that and more went down in November, and C-Rex also shared how we can't ever be 'good enough', which is GREAT because God's mercy and grace is more than sufficient! Just more proof about how God wants us to lean on Him, and with Him we can live life to the FULL!!!

Crazy Costume CLUB!!!
Last Monday's club was AMAZING! If you missed it, I can't even begin to describe the awesomeness that ensued! Our fearless leader was dressed in a gorilla suit...Miksa and Tim dressed as babies and a 'cereal killer' (what kind of cereal was it?), the students dressed in everything from the guy from Reno 911 to an inflatable sumo wrestler...oh and don't forget the spartans!
We had four of our best guy dancers bust a move in musical chairs with hollowed out pumpkins on their heads, plus a hilarious (seriously my cheeks still hurt from laughing) blindfold/jack-o-lantern game with a surprise LIVE mouse in the last container. The reaction was priceless. CHECK OUT THE VIDEO on our the Allen Younglife Facebook page!
