Club #2 = Success!

Oh, what an awesome night at the AHS YL Club - mash-ups from our YL band, skits from Men Without Shirts, Mattress Surfing and eels! That's right, you heard me, EELS. Nothing like 300 people packed in a room doing crazy stuff together and learning about why we were created. AMAZING.

1st FO' REAL Club of the Semester!!

Both AHS and LHS had a blast welcoming a combined nearly 400 students to Young Life Monday!! The new YL bands were also introduced and some freshman guys will never miss another YL Club! :)

YL this year is going to be better than ever! We're ready to unveil the NEW LHS Club as well as all the awesome plans for the Allen Club. We have tons of new leaders too!

Sharptop Cove - Day 3

We are so busy here at Sharptop, it's hard to find a chance to update the blog.  Day 3 was an awesome day filled with Pool Olympics, Club, Real Life, and Minute to Win It Leader Challenge in which our very own Chris Miksa won the grand prize - pizza delivered to his cabin of guys after the cabin bell last night.

A crazy rain storm in the late afternoon did not even come close to slowing us down as kids went slip-sliding down every grass hill on camp!  The sun's come back and it's another beautiful day here at the Cove!

Sharptop Cove - Day 2

We made it to camp around 2:30 yesterday and haven't slowed down since.  As soon as we stepped off the buses, kids scattered to the giant swing, the zip line, climbing wall, slides, and blob.  Last night we had our first club and after that each cabin ran wild through the forest in the Sharptop Obstacle Course.

This morning we had our All-Camp Volleyball Tournament in which the senior guys from Allen took the championship and even defeated the previously-undefeated Camp Staff Team 15-0!!  Our Senior girls also won the Spirit Competition at the Volleyball Tourney!  We are all having a blast!!
