Crazy Costume CLUB!!!

Last Monday's club was AMAZING! If you missed it, I can't even begin to describe the awesomeness that ensued! Our fearless leader was dressed in a gorilla suit...Miksa and Tim dressed as babies and a 'cereal killer' (what kind of cereal was it?), the students dressed in everything from the guy from Reno 911 to an inflatable sumo wrestler...oh and don't forget the spartans!

We had four of our best guy dancers bust a move in musical chairs with hollowed out pumpkins on their heads, plus a hilarious (seriously my cheeks still hurt from laughing) blindfold/jack-o-lantern game with a surprise LIVE mouse in the last container. We've had amazing club nights so far, SO many new faces and great talks from our leaders about what it means to live life to the fullest, why we are here, and just what is the meaning of life?

"What is YoungLife?" Contest!!!

Students, create your own video! Get out and about around Allen and ask strangers “What is Young Life?” Catch their witty, silly or serious answers on film.

Guidelines:

· Individuals or groups of up to 3 may enter.

· Videos:

o must be submitted by October 20^th, 2008.

o must not contain anything obscene, vulgar or otherwise inappropriate.

o must be no longer than 2 min. and 30 sec.

o must have at least 10 strangers interviewed, but may have more.

o can be submitted on DVD or uploaded to YouTube or other online video hosting site – just let us know where to find it!!

· Bonus points for creativity and one instance of public zaniness! (ex: guys paint chests with Y-O-U-N-G-L-I-F-E at football game, etc.)

· Before recording, please ask participant on camera to say their name and if he/she would mind being taped. This is for record only, and may be edited for final video as long as record is kept.

o *Submit edited film AND record for entry!*

Winners:

Three finalists will be chosen by Allen YL and will be announced and played for Club vote October 27^th. The winning video will receive prize, as well as have their video posted on the Allen YL Myspace, Facebook, website and will be played at the Allen YL Banquet, Saturday, November 8^th!!
