Our First Official Club of the year started off HUGE! The sign in the building said "Max. Occupancy 450" and we were wall to wall!! We watched brave freshman get kissed (and one pied in the face) by Senior girls, got to meet Baby C and Baby M ("baby" guy leader rappers), watched as the classes competed in the helicopter game, all played the dog/fire hydrant/car game together, watched winners of the games shave Ford's (senior guy) dreds off!! The band rocked in the new location with awesome sound system and the YL leaders were introduced to cheers! In the end, Gordo talked to us about how Jesus invites us into his house, a cozy place, to sit at his dinner table, much like the leaders invite you into their lives. It was AMAZING!!!!!!!!

CRUD WAR/FOOD FIGHT '09

Allen/Lovejoy Young Life kicked off in epic fashion tonight as almost 300 kids showed up for the 2009 YL Crud War! We are absolutely blown away by what God is doing with this YL mission here in Allen. It seems just like just yesterday when we had our first ever Crud War in 2004 with 23 kids.

Please continue to keep these teenagers in your prayers. Our deepest desire is for each of them to taste and see that the Lord is good and that He has come to give each one of them life to the fullest. Kids got to be kids tonight and I truly believe that they experienced a little bit of that "life to the fullest" tonight. And please keep our amazing YL leaders in your prayers as they continue to give their lives away for the sake of the Gospel.

CAMP!!

We just came back from the "Best Week of our Lives" at Frontier Ranch! 170+ leaders and students rode horses, hiked up a 14k mountain, repelled off a 120 ft. cliff, tackled a ropes course 50 ft high, owned the "Screamer" swing, were part of a western ho-down, water olympics (ever see 500 in a pool - it's crazy!) and SO much more. We all got to hear about how we were created and loved all while living OUT LOUD for an entire week in the mountains! Words cannot express what happened and pictures don't do it justice. IT was EPIC!!!
